For eight years, Reeves Media was retained as the regional PR agency for the Selfridges Birmingham store.
The brand came to us to promote the store’s schemes & initiatives, showcase exclusive offerings and make everyone yellow with envy.
We helped Selfridges Birmingham redefine luxury with the launch of its transformed Level 4 & personal shopping suite.
Level 4 of the Bullring department store houses premium brands and one-of-a-kind boutiques including Christian Louboutin, Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany and Jimmy Choo, as well as the store’s largest shoe department outside London with more than 1,700 styles from almost 50 designers.
To promote we collaborated with Style Birmingham and secured the cover. This not only promoted the space, but showcased the current ready to wear offerings for the holiday season.
We supported the Selfridges brand through its Covid-19 closures and both reopenings in June and December of 2020.
Throughout the closed period, we were able to secure consistent coverage and generate fresh PR stories that were relevant and engaging to a homebound audience.
To promote the first reopening, the brand tasked us with securing prominent regional coverage in key news media and lifestyle publications.
We exceeded expectations and achieved a total reach of over 8.4 million.
Doors were set to reopen again after Lockdown 2.0 and we found ourselves with the same task, but with increased KPIs. We stepped up to the challenge and achieved national television coverage and an overall reach of 57 million.
We spearheaded the regional launch of Project Earth – the brand’s new major sustainability initiative.
The ultimate aim is to become the world’s leading responsible multi-brand retailer, putting longevity, creativity and sustainability at the heart of the business.
Selfridges is pledging to tackle climate change with a specific focus on major operational changes within the retail industry.
Year on year
“Reeves PR played a key role through a number of past projects and were tasked with connecting Selfridges Birmingham to the city’s vibrant, young population through press opportunities, influencer content, social media and events.
The team’s understanding of the city, from the media landscape through to its cultural history and future developments played a key role in ensuring our work produced the best results.
We were able to successfully launch and execute countless events, partnerships and product launches thanks to their proactive and reactive agility and support throughout our time working together.”
